Elegoo Centauri Carbon
The Elegoo Centauri Carbon combines a 500mm/s CoreXY motion system, a 320°C BiMetal nozzle, and a fully enclosed chamber with an activated carbon air filter — delivering the speed, precision, and material range of printers that cost twice as much.

Material Compatibility
Because the enclosed chamber, 320°C nozzle, 110°C heated bed, and triple cooling system work together, the Elegoo Centauri Carbon handles everyday filaments and engineering-grade materials:

Carbon fibre and glass fibre reinforced filaments are abrasive. The BiMetal nozzle (brass body + hardened steel tip) is specifically designed for these materials and resists wear far better than standard brass nozzles.

What’s the difference between the Centauri Carbon and the Centauri Carbon 2 Combo?
The Carbon 2 Combo adds the CANVAS 4-colour multi-material system, a 350°C nozzle (vs 320°C), a 5-inch screen (vs 4.3-inch), quieter operation (under 45dB vs below 50dB), and more sensors. The gen-1 Carbon is lighter, smaller, and costs less — the right choice if you don’t need multicolour printing.
Can the Centauri Carbon print carbon fibre filament?
Yes. The BiMetal nozzle (brass body with hardened steel tip) is specifically designed for abrasive filaments like PLA-CF, PETG-CF, ABS-CF, ASA-CF, PET-CF, and PA-CF, and resists wear far better than standard brass nozzles.
How does it compare to a Bambu Lab P1S?
Both are enclosed CoreXY printers with the same 256mm³ build volume. The Centauri Carbon is significantly less expensive, offers a cloud-free workflow (LAN/USB, no mandatory cloud), and has a higher-temp nozzle (320°C vs Bambu’s standard 300°C). The P1S has a more mature ecosystem, a larger slicer community, and optional AMS multicolour. Both are strong choices — the best pick depends on whether ecosystem maturity or price and independence matters more to you.
Does it need assembly?
No. The Centauri Carbon arrives pre-assembled, calibrated, and tested. Unpack, plug in, load filament, and start printing.
Can I add multicolour printing later?
No. The gen-1 Centauri Carbon does not support the CANVAS multicolour system — the hardware isn’t compatible. If you need multicolour printing, the Centauri Carbon 2 Combo has it built in.
