Description
A Soft Shift Between Two Colours
PLA Gradient Mint Lime – Bambu’s Bicolor Gradient Filament
PLA Gradient Mint Lime from Bambu Lab blends two shades into a soft, continuous transition, so light green shifts gently into mint as the print builds up.
Because the gradient runs through the filament itself, no manual colour changes or multi-material setup are needed — the effect happens automatically as you print.
Soft Bicolor Gradient
Since the transition between colours is gradual, prints get a vibrant, stunning visual effect rather than a hard colour switch.
Delicate Finish
It keeps a refined surface finish, even at higher printing speeds.
High Printing Speed
It supports speeds up to 300mm/s with a 0.4mm nozzle, so the gradient effect doesn’t come at the cost of print time.
Stronger Layer Adhesion
Since it’s built on the PLA Basic series, it holds layers together even more tightly than standard PLA.
Every Print Is Unique
8–10 Metre Gradient Length
Because the colour cycles every 8 to 10 metres of filament, smaller models with less filament consumption show a subtler gradient, while larger models with more consumption reveal a more noticeable colour shift.
So no two prints come out quite the same — since where the gradient falls on the spool changes depending on how much filament a model uses, each piece has its own slightly different balance of green and mint.
Excellent Layer Adhesion
As a colour option within the PLA Basic series, PLA Gradient Mint Lime keeps the same reliable printing behaviour as PLA Basic, while offering even stronger layer adhesion and toughness. As a result, printed parts are less likely to break along their layer lines.
| Material | Z-Layer Impact Strength |
|---|---|
| Normal Matte PLA | 6.6 kJ/m² |
| Bambu PLA Basic Gradient | 23.8 kJ/m² — around 261% higher |
Specimens tested at 20×2×80 mm³.
Best Uses for PLA Gradient Mint Lime
Since the gradient effect works best where it can be seen clearly, it suits projects with enough surface area to show the colour shift off.
Printing and Drying Tips
Printing Settings
Since this is a colour option within the PLA Basic series, use the default PLA Basic printing profile. For an even cleaner finish, try lowering your layer speed and acceleration slightly below default.
Drying Recommendations
Drying is optional for this filament, but if it’s absorbed moisture, we recommend 55°C for 8 hours in a blast drying oven, or 75°C for 12 hours on your printer’s heatbed.

PLA Gradient Mint Lime FAQ
Does the gradient happen automatically, or do I need to change filaments?
It happens automatically. Since the colour shift is built into the strand itself, no manual filament changes or multi-material setup are needed.
Will every print show the same gradient pattern?
Not exactly. Because the gradient repeats every 8 to 10 metres, where it falls depends on how much filament a model uses, so smaller and larger prints show slightly different, unique colour balances.
Is it compatible with the AMS?
Yes, it’s compatible with all Bambu Lab AMS series, and RFID handles automatic material recognition.
How fast can I print with this filament?
Up to 300mm/s with a 0.4mm nozzle, while still keeping a delicate, refined finish.
Is it stronger than regular PLA?
Yes. Its Z-layer impact strength measures around 261% higher than normal matte PLA, so printed parts are less likely to break along their layer lines.
Do I need to dry it before printing?
Drying is optional, but if needed, 55°C for 8 hours in a blast drying oven or 75°C for 12 hours on your printer’s heatbed both work well.
Is PLA Gradient Mint Lime available in Cyprus?
Yes, The 3D Factory stocks it, since we’re Cyprus’s official Bambu Lab reseller and deliver across the island.
