Description
Strong Adhesion. Easy Release.
Bambu Textured PEI Plate for A1 Mini
The Bambu Textured PEI Plate for A1 Mini is designed to provide excellent first-layer adhesion, reliable printing and effortless model removal after cooling.
Its durable powder-coated PEI surface creates a distinctive textured finish on the bottom of printed parts, while the flexible magnetic steel plate makes everyday printing easier.

Strong First-Layer Adhesion
The textured PEI coating helps the first layer remain firmly attached during printing.
Easy Release After Cooling
Prints release more easily once the plate cools to approximately 35°C or below.
Textured Bottom Finish
The powder-coated surface transfers a professional textured pattern to the first layer.
Flexible Magnetic Plate
The spring-steel plate attaches securely to the A1 Mini magnetic heatbed.
Reliable Printing from the Start
Excellent First-Layer Adhesion
The updated manufacturing process improves both the durability of the plate and the grip between the first layer and the PEI surface.
As a result, common materials such as PLA, PETG and TPU can often print without additional adhesive.
Strong first-layer adhesion helps reduce lifting, corner warping and early print failures, especially on wide or detailed models.
- More reliable first layers
- Reduced risk of corner lifting
- Less need for glue with common materials
- Suitable for everyday and repeated use
- Designed specifically for the A1 Mini format

Distinctive Surface Quality
Premium Textured Finish on Printed Parts
The PEI powder coating creates a rugged, even texture across the build surface.
This texture transfers directly to the bottom layer of the print, creating a professional finish that can help hide minor first-layer marks.
It is especially useful for enclosures, display models, cases, functional parts and projects where the build-plate side remains visible.
Print Removal Made Simple
Self-Release When the Plate Cools
PEI withstands repeated heating and cooling cycles, making it well suited to daily 3D printing.
Once the heatbed cools to approximately 35°C or below, many prints release naturally from the surface.
If a model remains attached, remove the plate and flex it gently. The printed part should release without excessive force.
Waiting for the plate to cool protects both the PEI coating and the printed model.

Recommended Settings for Bambu Lab A1 Mini
The settings below provide a useful starting point. However, temperature, cooling, brim and slicer values may need adjustment depending on the model and filament brand.
| Material | Heatbed Temperature | Glue Required? |
|---|---|---|
| PLA / PLA-CF / PLA-GF | 45–60°C | No |
| PETG / PETG-CF | 60–80°C | No |
| TPU 85A / 90A | 35–45°C | No |
| TPU 95A for AMS | 35–45°C | No |
| PVA | 45–60°C | No |
Use only materials and temperatures supported by the Bambu Lab A1 Mini. Check the filament profile and printer limits before printing.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Dust, grease and fingerprints can reduce adhesion. Regular cleaning helps the plate maintain reliable performance.
- Wash the plate with warm water and dishwashing detergent
- Use a clean sponge without oil or lotion residue
- Rinse thoroughly after washing
- Dry with a clean paper towel
- Avoid touching the print surface after cleaning
- Do not use acetone because it can damage the PEI coating
If adhesion decreases after long-term use, carefully sanding the surface with fine 600-grit sandpaper may help restore grip.
Clean the plate thoroughly after sanding before using it again.

Normal Wear in the Nozzle-Wiping Area
Before automatic leveling, the nozzle rubs against the dedicated wiping area to remove material from the nozzle tip.
Over time, the coating in this area may show visible wear. This is normal and does not affect print quality or nozzle life.
Do not replace the plate only because the nozzle-wiping area looks worn.
Simple Installation
Install the A1 Mini Plate in Two Steps
- Align the plate with the fixed locating points on the A1 Mini heatbed, keeping the printed plate name facing you.
- Lower the plate carefully and allow it to attach to the magnetic platform.
Confirm that the plate is flat, centred and correctly aligned with the heatbed guides.

Build Plate Care and Warranty Notice
The Textured PEI Plate is a consumable component. Heating, cooling, model removal and everyday use gradually wear the surface.
Warranty coverage generally applies to manufacturing defects rather than scratches, dents, worn coating or other cosmetic damage caused during use.
Always allow the plate to cool before removing a print to help extend its usable life.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this Textured PEI Plate compatible with the Bambu Lab A1 Mini?
Yes. This 180 × 180 mm version is designed specifically for the Bambu Lab A1 Mini.
Does the Textured PEI Plate require glue?
PLA, PETG, TPU and PVA normally do not require glue on the textured surface. Specific materials or unusual models may still benefit from a suitable adhesive.
When should I remove the print?
Wait until the plate cools to approximately 35°C or below. Cooling reduces adhesion and makes model removal easier.
What finish does the plate create?
The powder-coated PEI surface creates a textured finish on the bottom layer of the printed model.
How should I clean the plate?
Wash it with warm water and ordinary dishwashing detergent. Rinse well, dry with a clean paper towel and avoid touching the printing surface afterwards.
Can I use acetone on Textured PEI?
No. Acetone can damage the PEI coating and should not be used.
Can I restore adhesion if the plate becomes worn?
Careful sanding with fine 600-grit sandpaper may help restore adhesion. Clean the plate thoroughly after sanding.
Is the Bambu Textured PEI Plate for A1 Mini available in Cyprus?
